Monokini 2.0 catwalk 2016 is here! We are arranging the Monokini 2.0 show this year together with Roche in Pori, Finland. Our women are ready and excited showcase 8 different designs of bathing suits by designers Tärähtäneet ämmätMert Otsamo, Outi Pyy, Tyra Therman, Elina Loueranta, Timo Rissanen, Teemu Muurimäki and Vilma Riitijoki. Catwalk show will be part of the official program of SuomiAreena 2016.

On the stage together with our courageous 8 models will be seen and heard live music by singer-songwriter Astrid Swan, who herself is a breast cancer surviver and composed songs about the struggles with cancer, and choir MAMO who will perform together with Astrid Swan. Producer of the show is Anna Miettinen.

Before our show there will be a panel discussion about breast cancer. The panelists are:

Maarit Bärlund, specialist doctor of cancer, TAYS

Monokini 2.0 Catwalk Show at Yrjönkatu swimming pool

The first ever Monokini 2.0 catwalk show is happening at Yrjönkatu Swimming pool in the end of the August.

Two shows on Saturday 29th August. Come early to get in!!!!

Show is going to be remarkable. All the swimsuit models have experienced breast cancer and suits are especially designed for single-breasted women. Monokini 2.0 doesn’t hide or shame. It reveals, empowers and celebrates the courage of Finnish women.

Monokini 2.0 catwalk show brings together professionals from art and fashion. Unique swimsuits are designed by well-regarded Finnish designers. Musician Astrid Swan and choir Mamo are playing at the show. Synchronized swimming team will perform there too. Hostesses are the artists behind the Monokini 2.0 project Ms Katriina Haikala and Ms Vilma Metteri.

The show is supported by Breast cancer association - Europa Donna Finland and the event is organised for raising money to Cancer Foundation. You can donate by clicking the link:
